A number of points of interest this month:
Noticeboard
Hopefully you have all seen the new Conservation Village sign and matching noticeboard provided by North Lanarkshire Council. These are in a more prominent spot and provide another way to get messages out across the community. If you have anything you would like to post there please contact us on info@dullatur.org
BBQ
A big thanks to all those who made the BBQ such a success on the 3 August. The evening started off dry and a heavy shower halfway through the evening brought everyone indoors but didn't dampen spirits. An awful lot goes into planning and organising these events so it was great to welcome such a large number of residents from across the community. The event has raised in excess of £500 which the community council will re-invest in the upkeep of the village hall.
DLTC Finals Day
The tennis club will be having their annual finals day on Saturday 24 August. The event is open for members and non-members alike to turn up throughout the day. Please feel free to pop in and support our local club - further details here.
Roadworks in the Village
Carriageway resurfacing is to take place in Victoria Road between 14 and 16th August. This will impact all residents in Prospect Road and Dykehead Road who get access through Victoria Road. All impacted residents should have been notified and the notice of works has been posted on the Noticeboard. If we can ask all residents to show patience and to take care when parking their cars in other areas during this time and to be take into account through traffic, school buses and the impact on other residents.
2019 Community Council Quadrennial Elections
Please see the post here that provides further details on the 2019 Community Council elections to be held across North Lanarkshire. Nominations would be very much encouraged from across our community to ensure a broad range of views and interests can be represented.
